Until Next Spring — Thank You from Nana’s Bloomers

Until Next Spring — Thank You from Nana’s Bloomers

As July arrives in Yellowstone County, summer is just beginning to settle into its rhythm.

Gardens planted over the past few months are stretching toward the sun. Flower beds are beginning to fill with color. Vegetable plants are growing taller each week, quietly preparing the harvests that will come later in the season.

Across Billings, Laurel, and communities throughout the region, backyards are becoming small landscapes of their own — places where families gather, where neighbors stop to admire a flower bed, and where the quiet satisfaction of growing something with your own hands continues to unfold.

For us at Nana’s Bloomers, this moment always carries a mix of emotions.

While the summer growing season is just beginning for gardens across Montana, the greenhouse season that makes it possible is coming to a close.

A season made possible by the community

Every year, long before the first customers walk through the greenhouse doors, the work has already begun.

Seeds are selected months in advance. Young plants are nurtured through cold winter days. Greenhouses are carefully managed as tiny seedlings slowly become the vibrant flowers and vegetables that eventually make their way into local gardens.

By the time spring arrives, thousands of plants are ready to begin the next chapter of their lives in homes across Yellowstone County.

Seeing those plants leave the greenhouse and become part of your gardens is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Gardens create something bigger than plants

Gardening is about more than flowers, vegetables, and soil.

It’s about the simple joy of watching something grow. It’s about stepping outside in the morning and seeing new blooms that weren’t there the day before.

It’s about the quiet pride of harvesting a tomato you grew yourself, or the way a yard can transform when color begins to fill in after a long Montana winter.

Gardens create small moments of peace, beauty, and connection that last far beyond the day a plant is purchased.

Thank you for supporting a local greenhouse

Running a seasonal greenhouse is truly a community effort.

Every person who visits Nana’s Bloomers becomes part of that story.

Whether you stopped by for a few flowers, asked a gardening question, shared a photo of your yard, or brought friends and family to visit the greenhouse, your support means more than you might realize.

Local businesses exist because local communities choose to support them.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that values gardening, growing things, and supporting one another.

The gardens continue from here

Although the greenhouse season comes to a close, the gardens planted this spring are just getting started.

Throughout July and August, flowers will continue to bloom, vegetables will ripen, and the spaces you’ve created will keep evolving throughout the summer.

The plants may have started here, but the gardens themselves now belong to you.

Already thinking about next year

While the greenhouse doors may close for the season, planning for next spring begins almost immediately.

Each year we look for new varieties, stronger plants, and fresh ideas to make Nana’s Bloomers even better.

The goal is always the same: to bring more beauty, more color, and more life into the gardens of Yellowstone County.

We look forward to welcoming you back when the next growing season begins.

Until then

Take time to enjoy your garden this summer.

Watch the flowers grow. Harvest vegetables with friends and family. Notice the small changes that happen day by day as the season moves forward.

Gardens have a way of reminding us to slow down and appreciate the present moment.

From all of us at Nana’s Bloomers, thank you for being part of another wonderful season.

We’ll see you next spring.
