Description
Choose a spot for your Alyssum Wonderland plants that has light but not overly rich soil, where they will receive either full sun or partial shade. The darkest colors will fade less in partial shade, but sweet alyssums bloom best in full sun. Don’t choose an area where water stands on the soil, or the plants’ roots may rot. Although they aren’t picky about pH, blue varieties show the best color in soil with a lower pH. Attractive to bees and butterflies, sweet alyssums may help lure pollinators into vegetable gardens. They can also be used as ground covers for taller plants in containers.
